My buddy and I are building his MP3 and we're looking for ~400whp and I'm wondering how this parts list sounds for a start:

Arias Pistons (8.5:1 Compression Ratio)
Pauter Rods
Protege Garage Cast Single Runner Intake Manifold
Ported and Polished Head (1mm oversized, 3 angle, dual spring)
SR Motorsports Adjustable Cam Gears
Integral Performance Stage 2.5 Cams
Auto Exe Big Bore Throttle Body
550cc Injectors
AEM EMS
Walbro Fuel Pump
Turbo Kit TBD

Besides the little things like bearings, gaskets, etc is there anything else we should be looking at? Would this get us to ~400whp?

The TB isn't really necessary, you'll need a stronger clutch, gauges, motor mounts, that's all I can think of at the moment.

Maybe one or two guys have been to 400whp. Plan for at least $15k+ in go fast parts only if you do all the labor yourself. You'll need about $6500 to build the tranny alone!

I'm maxing out my 565cc injectors right now and am well under 400!

Ok besides that your going ot need more then 550's,a built trans,bigger turbo,3" exhaust,fmic,possibly meth,better clutch but other then that i really dont see anything else that you would need

id say if you want to do it right and not cut corners have about 20k ready to drop in

Forgot $700 for axles are on my list too.

i think you could do 400 on msp axles well at least im going to try it lol

I plan for some nice numbers at the track with slicks eventually.

Clutch is taken care of, gauges, bigger injectors, and motor mounts are easy enough. We have a great tranny builder here so we can get that taken care of. Does anyone have a compressor map for the IHI VF22?

You won't hit 400whp with the vf-22 without like 25psi+ and with an internal wastegate it's not going to last long.
