Does anyone have any experiance with these on the stock head unit? I am wondering how difficult installation is and if it is possible to have it connect to the stock speakers and mute incoming calls (does the stock head unit have this capability?)

you probably can as long as the radio has that option.bluetooth and w/e.....proly alot of money for a unit that does that...jsut get a 50 dollar bluetooth headset and hit mute.....just a thought

I already have the unit, my main question is: Does the stock head unit have an interrupt/mute wire/plug or whatever that I can splice the car kit into?

Hi

I don't remember the stock harness having a mute/interupt wire directly. An aftermarket harness would have a place for aux equipment like the one your trying to connect. For instance my Alpine head unit has a place for aux equipment on the radio harness itself - which means that its handled by the headunit's mute/interupt circuit.

Unless you can find the schematics on the stock wire harness thats the only way you could definitely make sure.
