Motor mounts

So I was looking on awrracing.com for motor mounts and found passenger and transmission motor mounts for 99-03 Proteges. 70, 85 and 90 durometer I think. I have a 2000 1.6 liter Protege, but I previously bought and installed the front and rear mounts they sell. Im interested in purchasing the other 2 mounts, but Tony from AWR Racing says they are for the 1.8/2.0 and believes that if I installed the original 2 mounts, which he believes were for the 1.8/2.0 as well, I should be able to install the other 2 mounts on my 1.6. Is that true? Has anyone does this before?

I'm not completely sure but I do think the mounts are the same

That's what I was thinking. But I wasn't really sure. Being that the 1.6 and 1.8/2.0 arevtwo different engines, I'm a little skeptical that the mounts would be "universal", per se, and fit all 3 platforms.

just get the inserts and call it a day. or if you really want the whole mount, if im not mistaken, the main bracket for the pass side is just a right angle. any welder can whip that out in a minute. the tranny is a different story though....trial and error my friend

Is there a big difference between the actual mounts and the inserts? Exactly HOW difficult is swapping in the tranny mount?

the front and side mounts are cake, the rear I wouldnt wish on my worst enemy...I have inserts in front and rear and filled my sides.

Like mentioned, I had the front and rear mount installed by a shop so I didn't have to deal with all the trouble. However, I really want the last 2 mounts to complete the set. Does it make a lot of sense to go mount for the passenger side and insert for tranny side or should I just stay mount/mount, insert/insert?

take a picture of them. we can see the differences then!

and imo depending on the driving habits, inserts are pointless. they break overtime. i'm an all mount man myself.

the passenger mount was the first to go for me, they are easy as long as you know what to do and have the right tools. engine hoist is a big help.

they should fit all together all 99-03 mounts r all the same s***... iv done it an not a problem..

You say they should, but you know for sure? You have all the mounts from AWR? I'd hate to put out ~300 bucks for mounts that MAY fit, may not.
