Motor mount questions

I'm growing tired of the "bucking" action that my car does while coasting in first gear due to the engine rocking back and forth. I know the cause is the motor mounts (specifically the front one) and I want to replace mine soon.

From what I've read (yes, I used the search button), the two choices are either the AWR replacement mount or the RR-racing mount inserts. Is this right? I see on AWR's site that they sell separate motor mount bushings (not the side ones) but I'm not sure if they work with the stock mount brackets or only with their own.

Does anyone here have the RR mount inserts? I've heard a lot of reviews of the AWR mounts and a lot of people seem to think the AWR mounts (at least the 95s) rattle your teeth out at idle. I definitely don't want this as the car is my daily driver and I don't want it to feel harsh. Any suggestions/recommendations?

I just put the RR-Racing Inserts in. It was a PITA, but well worth it. I have the clutchmasters stage II clutch and I have to try not to peel out. It was a great investment though $55 shipped for front and rear. As far as the vibration, not too bad. Just makes my bumper shake and the change in my ashtray bang around.

I debated for awhile on AWR vs RR racing, and both price wise and performance/vibration wise I am glad I went with RR racing.

u can get the awr 70 durameter dont vibrate as much as the rest i have those and it's not bad at all well i have the front one in only right now but the rear one is going in soon.

Heh, meet us for lunch at L&L sometime or something and you can hear all the new rattles my car has with the AWRs!

Ofcourse, I LOVE them but, i wanna cage my car and put 4 racing buckets in it. (nana)

Yay.

Wait, you put AWRs in your car? I thought you just had stockers put in there under warranty.

I remember how much your car vibrated... don't want that.

I have the AWR front (AT Bushing) and it causes a rough idle and lots of shaking on the car. Great for engine-lash though and my front mount was shot.......

I have the RR racing red inserts on front only. No crazy vibration, just better than oem cheaper than AWR.

I have the mounts from NSN (ie Turfburn - check the vendor for sale section, he's got a thread going) for the front and driver's side, and will soon have for the passenger as well. I personally love them. They reduced the excessive engine movement while only slightly increasing vibration - basically, if you didn't know that was a side effect of the mounts, you wouldn't know it had been done.

For my driving style, and the fact that my P5's a daily driver, it's a perfect fit. If I end up doing a lot of autox, etc, I may look into something stiffer at that time.

I have the AWR 95 durometer MTX mounts. They raddled me at frst but you get used to them. I don't even think about it until I read on here about it or somebody new gets in my car and points it out.

i have the RR front inserts only. not as much bucking, but still a little. i am probably going to get the rear ones soon.

My honest concern is rattles. I already have a couple of minor rattles at idle and any more would suck.
