More power to the third generation M6.

Mazda6 2.5 G SW Soul Red
Hello everyone.
Would need information about increasing power in my M6 (2014, 2.5 with 192 hp). Where I can get information? and how much power could be increased by reprogramming of the ECU? and the ECU can be reprogrammed?.
Thanks in advance for your answers.

It's a naturally aspirated engine made for efficiency with a factory 4-2-1 header and direct injection, I don't think there's much you can do that's going to be cost effective.

It has higher compression than most every Porsche engine out there and they run premium fuel, so if you're not already I'd start there so it always self-tunes for the best fuel. Even here in the US people seem to get better results with prolonged use of premium because the ECU is so smart.

Like Brandini said, these new engines have little to be gained by easy mods like chipping. From my experience modifying cars you mod the ecu only to compensate for and regulate the other modifications you make.

Hello everyone and thanks for your answers, Oblithian and Brandini.
What changes do you recommend for the power increase?
Thank you.

Well if you want something easy, another member boasted a 9hp gain from a CAI http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123831209-NEW-Injen-Cold-Air-Intake-for-Gen-3-6 . Other than that you might be able to get some more power by removing the resonator, and getting a less restrictive muffler. After that you are getting into more expensive and technical things, but you probably would want to hold off on those until there are more vehicle specific aftermarket parts.

Keep in mind the skyactiv engine is not designed for a power adder. You did not buy a conventional engine with headroom for horsepower. The high compression ratio pretty much limits you. It's doubtful the engine can even withstand any boost from a turbo or supercharger. If you really need more than 192hp, consider buying a different car.

Yep. Low Weight, low friction, low fuel use, low injection window with direct injection.

Just like how drag cars still love them some carbs for simplicity and airflow.

Thank you all for the information of their responses.
I see it's better to do this type of questions to the real owners, not only firms that engage in "manipulating the ecu".
Your answers are the best and most sensible information I have received.

Again, thank you very much to all.
Greetings, gentlemen.
