I asked this once before on another forum but I figured you guys would be the most help! I got an 03 p5, black mica with an automatic...I originally bought the car simply for mileage ( daily beater) cause I got it dirt cheap, i got the auto for convenience and to convince me to leave it alone...but i cant stand it any more and am dyin to do something with it! (attn) Right now its bone stock cept for the XM radio and i have new roof moldings waiting( to replace the rack rails) im going with some different rims, and figuring on a CAI and exhaust, but would love to hear any suggestions you have or pics..I m keeping the wheel size and suspension stock for now cuz i drive 40 miles round trip on back roads covered in logtruck litter and roadkill( got chipped hood an windshield to prove it!) im considering some interior work but dont know what.. so any ideas or suggestions are welcome!

PS lol it was suggested trading it for an 3 with a 5 spd but im not entirely sold on them yet, plus I d be stupid to let the car go for no more than it costs me! (notcool)

If you plan on ever painting your calipers or your valve cover (or anything else that might get dirty over time) do it now!! It'll save you so much time just on cleaning the parts to be painted.

I also have an auto. I basically modded mine to make it more drivable not for racing.

Buuuut...in the next few months I'm gonna get the valve body and torque converter from lentech and see how that does.

Best? It's all opinion, if you search you'll find tons of caliper painting threads. I used the G2 caliper painting system and have no complaints. Paint is thick and rubbery. A lot of people have also just bought hi-temp spray paint and sprayed them or sprayed into a can and brushed it on. That method also works.
