Well I just pick up my second MSP, the car only has 17k on it and I'm going back and forth if I wanna modify alittle or leave it completely stock. This car will be my daily driver and I'm looking to get the best MPG possible, So just taking a survey leave it stock or modify alittle, I already have a CAI for it and a 3in Thermal R&D catback exhaust, also looking at a set of hardpipes and Custom MSP intercooler which I can get for a steal, and then just looking todo downpipe.

So tell me what everyone else would do.....

Modify it or leave it stock.

Ya i would modify it! But i modify everything. Atleast hardpipes, upgraded intercooler and exhaust imo

def. mod. 1st and formost do some sort of engine management, then some mods to increase gas mileage, like an exhaust intake etc...

Wow, you must be quite patient. Two msp's = twice the headache. JFWY dude, throw an afc on there and tune it. That should equal better mileage if your leaning the fuel out in some spots. What have you done to your other msp. Or is this your second speed and the other is retired.

Sold the other. BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IC. Yep, nothing would be more gratifying than some tuning. Allthough I wouldn't really know as I've had a dsm unit sitting in the garage for a year now.

simple bolt ons

exhaust, intake, IC, pipes, plugs

the PSI will rise to about 8-9, and will be a strong daily driver, MPG is up to your foot

Just do what mazda should have done.
Exhaust
Intake (optional)
plugs
Intercooler/pipes
AFC
Cant forget the clunk fix brackets either.
At 8-10 psi you'll have a FUN RELIABLE daily driver.

At first I wanted to mod my car too, but I decided that I'm just going to leave it as it is with the hot pipe, j-pipe since I'm waiting for the BMW 1 series to come out next spring. If its your daily I say dont mod it to much unless you have a spare car incase something goes wrong.
