mitsubishi starion

With the news from that other post earlier about using the Starion intercooler this would be a good buy! Intercooler for 650 and you get a Starion with it! Any nostalgic former Starion owners want to jump on this!!

You need an ESI to have an intercooler. The ES model is turbocharged, but not intercooled. An ESI will say "intercooled" on the side between the door and the back wheel.

these things could be made fast as balls with little work/$. lots of little nit picky issues reliability wise. engines weren't the greatest.

scares me when people carry empty bottles of oil around in their trunk. engines gotta be burning oil.

I think that would be a great drifter. As for the looks I think the Conquest looks better with the rear wing and wide fenders and quarters.

I own a 87 conquest tsi and yes they are great cars for drifting, and btw,I dont carry any oil cans in mine and the 2.6 is a very strong motor, dont underestimate these
cars.Next time your out in your mazda try and run one and see what happens.

What with like 230 HP stock on the intercooled ones? Yup, that's a contender...if the head isn't warping.

I also had an 87 Conquest Tsi, only had 49,000 original miles. It's been about 6 years since I had that car. Had nothing but problems with it as well. Awful in the snow too. Wasn't really that quick either for what it was. I'm sure there were tons of add-ons available to increase performance though.

I've always wanted one of those ever since I saw 3 of them in the junkyard when I was like 16 looking for a rearview mirror. 1 was a conquest 2 were starions. Dont know if they were intercooled or not. Badass older car though.
