Miss Fire, any idea's?

I have a 04 mazda 6 3.0L and my engine light came on and i got it scanned at auto zone, they said cyclinder 6 is miss firing, but i changed the spark plugs to NGK's and only have about 1000miles on the new plugs. any idea's? The check engine light came on when the gas light came on. i put gas in the car thinken maybe it was just low fuel pressure and maybe that could be causing the miss fire. if anyone has any idea's run them by me thanks alot.

get some fuel injector cleaner and put in premium for one tank. Sometimes bad gas will make them misfire or since you said you ran it almost out of fuel you could have picked up some gunk from the tank. Wait until about you have a 1/4 tank of fuel left and then put in some Chevron Techron then put in a full tank of premium.. That should clear it up.....

had that issue on my old mazda6... it ended up bein a bad ignition coil...

it is more than likely a bad ignition coil very common. If yrou local autozone can check mode 6 data it will tell you exactly how much it is missing on each clyinder and if it is fuel or spark related.

I have had 3 coils replaced on my P5.... So far the only problems I have had with 80k miles on it.

Don't forget plug gapping too...probably not it, but always a possibility
