Cosmic Blue MS3 of hawtness!
How cold can we run our Potenza RE050A's before they start losing significant traction? I am hearing somewhere in the 45-50F range, but I still can't confirm it. Can any of you shed some light on this?

Thanks!

From the information I gathered since my little time on the board, the stock tires are not the greatest thing on snow.

It appears that a lot of MS3 owners switch to specific winter tires because of the horrible traction during winter time.

ya, i'm rather unsure about what i should do right now, cause as long as i have the summer tires, i'm gonna have to run my snow tires way more often than i would like to. 40-50F happens like from end of oct until march or april around here...=/

i guess the worst thing that could happen is that i end up going to goodyear f1's after my stock tires die on me.

The weather was really screwy here in CT and I had mine on through mid-April. I have to order a new set as the ones I got were s***. WAY too soft. So soft, I wore the fronts down about 1/4" more than the rears. :) But it was the cornering instability that really made me nervous.

Sucks unless you want to go with A/S tires, which may be a good idea depending on how/where you drive in the warm months.

ya, i'm kinda unsure how this is going to go, cause the last few winters here in NJ have been REALLY mild with a lot of warm spells in the middle of "winter".
