[font=verdana, arial, helvetica]This is just to get an idea of how many will be interested in going to Milan dragstrip on June 9th. It'll be privately rented but I could bring some people with me. $40 fee, runs 6 - 9 pm with vht applied.

This is not official yet!! I need to contact the person with the number of interested people before anything is set. Let me know!!

What's vht?
What's the minimum number of people needed?
How many runs can we expect to get in?

vht is the sticky stuff they apply to the launch area so you get better traction

I don't have a minimum or maximum number of people, the less people there the more runs each will get and viceversa

VHT=broken axles or wheel hop :p, i always go around it...

40 bucks is a lot of money for 3 hrs of racing...

A lot of times drag strips will only put the traction compound on one half of the launch box. Sometimes you can line up to the side of it. I know Detroit Dragway did that (found out the hard way) but I don't know about Milan.

VHT is on the line where you launch... you're not going around that.

um, every track i've ever been to (milan, mid michigan, lapeer, and a couple others) has a puddle of it a couple c/l's from the line, i know this because i watch them spray it, and then i drive around it :p...

milan is no different from any of the others, except it has more room to drive around on...

Are you talking about the burnout box or the launch area? Sounds like you are talking about the burnout box. On test and tune you are the lucky person to get fresh VHT layed down on the launch area... they usually don't spray it till they have to clean up after a car that breaks.

I know for a fact that some drag strips don't put VHT all the way across the start line. I know this because I lined up on the wrong side one time and did nothing but smoke the back tire all the way through second gear.

I don't know if Milan does it or not.

Test and tune days since there are so many cars and it's so cheap to run... they barely put any down. The only time you see it really is in the morning, then if someone spills fluid at the starting line and they need to clean it, then they will re-apply it. That's how it is at every track that I have ever been to on the general test and tune days. If you rent the track, they are generally a lot better about it.
