slotege mp3
well as most of you know im only 16, therefore living with the parents. Well tonight something seriously bad happend, i got into a fight with my mom, and she ran out of the house crying. I've never seen anything like this happen before, and let me say that this isn't the first fight. Most of this fighting started with i turned 16, and i bought the mp3, well i bought half of it at least.

the thing is, that in my short amount of time behinde the wheel ive collected 3 tickets, some for speeding, some for other stuff, and just recently i got a ticket for skateboarding. i guess all these tickets were just to much for my parents to bare.

so heres the thing, inorder to get back in good with my family, which is one of the most important things to me im probably going to sell my car, and stop skateboarding. this decision is pretty hard for me though, cause thats going to be stopping two of the things that i love.

I love my mazda, and didn't think that i would or could ever part with it, and skateboarding, dont even get me started. Ive been doing it for the past 4 years, which doens't seem that long, but its been a fun time. i always thought that i would never stop, but if i have to in order to regain the trust of my parents i will. But stopping skating means dropping my sponsor, and pretty much just turning my back on a very fun time in my short life, ive made so many friends, and had so many exprences skating that you would never believe.

i don't know, this post will probably make nosense when im finished, but i just have to say some things and get them off my chest i suppose. if anybody can give me any suggestions of how to make my parents regain some trust in me please tell.

 dude, this blows...having to give up anything you love to do sucks...try to rationallize with the parents, and see if they are cool witht hings, anything to keep the ride, and the board!

Yeah, but they are not gonna let you be who you are? That is also important!! Surely there can be a resolution to this issue where you and your parents are happy? Maybe the issue here is the amount of money being paid to tickets, and the amount of trouble generated. Is there a way to minimize this (dumb question I know)?

i am sure selling your mp3 or stop skate boarding will regain the trust anytime soon........Do you pay all those tickets yourself or your parent does ?? If your parent pays for it....maybe thats the case.........
We all know family is more important than anything in the world. well, to me it is. But like Linux said, being yourself is important too.
You should have a talk with your parents and make a deal or some sort. Just dont get anymore tickets. I am pretty sure you can avoid the tickets if you drive more safer, and I dont know why you got a ticket for skateb.
Trust me.....you dont want to give up the stuff you love. Coz I'v been there and knows whats it like.

To me it sounds like your parents are tired to paying for your mistakes tickets etc. Are those tickets effecting your parents car insurance, I doubt you have your own policy @ 16?

I had the same problem with my oldest step-son; he was given some money because of an accident that happen when he has younger & couldnt touch the money until he was 18. The day he turned 18 he bought himself a used car, drove the piss out of it & blow up the motor 3 months later. My point to the story is having something given to you, most people dont appreciate what they had & have no idea of the value of a dollar.

Hate to say this here....

Yeah, I'd lose the car and keep the board (if it were my choice). You've probably been skating longer than you have been driving, and you have sponsors supporting you in skateboarding. Skateboarding should mean a lot more to you than this car.

It's easier (and probably cheaper) to deal with tickets related to illegal skating than it is with vehicle speeding tickets.

Eventually you'll own another cool car, but by that time you'll be old enough to decide whether you want to be responsible for those violation tickets or not.

best of luck!

I couldn't agree with this more :)

I'm not sure if you believe in karma, but some things are meant to be, and some things aren't.

seems like the MP3 is bringing you bad vibes into your life, I would get rid of it and buy a car that you can afford with ONLY YOUR OWN MONEY.

a car is just a car, having a happy life is more important than driving a cool car.

good luck :)

I don't think you should have to give up either unless you feel you can't enjoy those two things and be responsible about them at the same time. What I'm saying is quit being a bonehead and don't get any more tickets.

Exactly.

And why are you making your mom cry? Are you yelling at her, etc? I don't really know you too well, but make sure you're not being a spoiled brat. If you play your cards right, you shouldn't have to give up either. If you DO have to sell the car, refer the next owner to this site.

im not selling the car, and everything is arlight now.

anyway, i pay my insurance, its not my policy but i pay for it. i paid for the tickets. and i paid for 10 grand of the mp3 myself, so i don't plan on selling it anytime soon.

i guess some stuff i said sent my mom over the edge last night, shes been underalot of stress lately, getting told she was moving to another school because shes only been there a year and they have to cut positions (experience doesnt matter i don't guess, shes been teaching 27 years), and my aunt has pretty much moved in with us for the last 3 weeks, so thats putting some agraviation on her. hopefully when my aunt leaves sunday and we get everything settled at my mom's school stuff with finally calm down around here.

Dude,

I am glad you aren't selling the car, but don't think about quitting skating or anything. It sounds like skating is what you are into, it's what keeps you entertained and happy. If skating is the only thing you do your parents are lucky. There are tons of kids out there doing worse s*** than skating. Your parents are lucky you get your kicks from skating and not robbing or raping or killing.

All this s*** is just part of growing up. I am only 21, but I went through alot of the same s*** when I was 16, but I wasn't as good. I hung out with older guys, got drunk, did drugs, had sex, but I just never got caught. My mom was always on my case about who I hung out with and s***. Then I started driving and racing and s***. I got some tickets. Now my mom still gives me s*** about driving the way I do and racing, but it is what I am into, and I won't give it up.

Don't sweat it bro. Things will work out and when you are older you and your parents will look back and laugh at all this s***.
