michigan peeps install-a-drink-a-bbq-extravaganza...

Have we come up with a date for this thing yet ?? I'm still stuck in the middle of nowhere Virginia for a few more days then I will be home for a month til the next trip. Just can't do the weekend of the 11th of July. I have been honing in my midget tossing skills and am ready to show em off........ Might have some springs to install as well as the headlight painting.

Let me back up a second. Have we confirmed on a location yet either ?

Didn't you watch the install at Kevin's house on Aiken's car??
No compressor needed.

The job took me less then 3 hours and I wasn't in any big hurry. Barely broke a sweat.

Yours will be a little more time consuming because you have Mac struts on the rear but it's not difficult.
ok

no and no.

anyone wanna supply a house for us to use for an evening?

Hmmm... well, I guess I can give up some space but confirmation is going to depend on the dates we choose.

we could always forego the installation part and shoot for just a party, for now.

there's always the metroparks, if we just do a bbq.

i would be down for another bbq install day..

i havent seen or talked to a lot of the forum members lately so i would like to catch up with a few people...

one more try for using someones house...

if not, then i'm just going to turn this in to a bbq only thread. i'll probably just pick a date and make a sign-up list...probably early aug. if we do just a bbq.

at this rate, i'm already looking for places to get my coilovers on at, 'cause it doesn't seem like anyone will have the space or house that many cars for an install.

How about Saturday July 10th at my house? I have the space. I hosted an install/BBQ back in April. ;)

I know I am taking a risk, hopefully noone will try to sue me over stuff on their cars breaking. (crazy)

i'm game for the 10th.

can we agree on this? if so, lets start a list of food and 'ish to bring, and figure out what all we're going to do as far as installs.

lots of people want to paint lights and calipre's, so we could do like two installs, and get all the painting done. then when we're all high as hell off the spraypaint fumes, we can toss the midgets and do the jager shots.

If we're doing painting at the one at my house on the 10th, someone better bring some cardboard to spray on. (yes) I have a four car drive way, a two car garage. There should be enough room to move cars in and out and work on at least 2-3 at a time, if not 1 or 2 more dependent on what they need done. :p

im down for the 10th...i just gotta be home by 7pm...im not sure what time you guys were planning on doing all this

Well, you guys (and gals) have fun. I'll be in Arizona. (thumb)

july 10 : 11am : kevducridr's house...

directions to come... Use mapquest address: 20045 Garfield, Redford, Mi. 48240. Most of you coming know where it is anyway. ;)

11am - 6pm(?)... Definitely done at 6:00pm.

bbq...drinks...fun with our cars...midget tossing (perhaps)...

the list thus far...

element.8 : jic-magic coilovers, headlights painted, calipre's painted.

dreeza : paint calipres, paint headlights, install header.

aiken : paint calipres.

yaggie1 : paint headlights.

thejoker0409 : spring install.

eting_pro5 : headlight and calipre painting.

kevducridr: Cleaning car inside and out

Figured posting this at the end would be easier on people. (cheers)

correct. i work every other saturday all day. the 17th would be ok, but your date has been set i guess....

i'd love to go now that gas is a tad more affordable, but it's near impossible in summer to find a saturday off or switch (i work everyday, so i cant switch)...(damn managers get all their days off)

and IF you were to change it to the 17th, i could come and bring knowledge and paint supplies (actuator- so the color doesn't slowly fade to black) and brushes. I'd say that unless you guys intend on taking the calipers off, that spray painting will take WAY too long. you have to tape EVERYTHING off. just use a brush. took me 1.5hrs doing all my four and they dried in less than 15mins since I knew what i was doing and i used actuator.
