Meetings...

I don't know if I would feel comfortable meeting up with a bunch of peeps that I dont really know. Dont know if that sounds wierd but did any of you feel this way before you went. It might be that I'm still sorta immature ha, I'm 21, whats the average age of the drivers going to this meet up? I have no mods done on my car and love to see what these mods look like up close, so Id like to go but I dont know if you guys feel where I'm coming from...plus working 60 - 70 hours + doesnt help out either...

haha, im 18 right now..i dont think it was until i was half way there that i realized i'm about to meet up with a crapload of people i dont know at all...

I had been talking to pat (pdhaudio) for awhile online, so i was looking forward to meeting him in person...find someone to talk to online if you dont feel comfortable randomly showing up...my aim sn is Dreeza246...IM me anytime..im always on

i can assure that everyone is awesome...age wise, its pretty varied....im the youngest i think...chris and bryan (mazdamp3_18 and azian6er) are 20...pat, ben (aiken) and joe (jsayhoun) are 21...those are the ppl i can think of around your age

You should come, we are a great group of people if i may say so myself

I think i am going to the bbq on the 25th. i don't know anyone at all. all I know about these peeps is that they are all car fanatics. that is enough for me. (i also want to meet other msp. owners.)

I have kinda had the same thoughts about going out with a bunch of people I don't know as well. And I am 31 with a bunch of kids !! I feel like the old guy and I am not on the site talking to people as much as others so I really don't even know anybody well from a chat standpoint but, I figured screw it, I want to see some of these cars up close and check out the mods in person too. Gotta meet up sooner or later.

Ehhhh, don't worry about it. I went to the Kent Meet in CT, when I was there and people turned out to be great!!! It's a family thing, I haven't really met any head butting ppl on this board yet (crossing fingers on perf and mpnick).

ps I'm 22, so I think you're fine on the age

guys dont worry about it. really. we'll have a great time. if you can't tell, im really loud person, and i'll do mybest to make you comfortable. who cares what mods or even if u dont have any, doesnt matter. we'll have great times.

i can understand meeting new people you've never met is odd, but at least we're all connected via our interest in our mazdas.

please come, if you dont like it, dont come again- no hard feelings. its a GREAT time though. Esp the FIRST meet- Clio- that i organized it was such a GREAT time. ask anyone

i am definately going to the bbq. I am 25 and have one kid (reason why i wasn't at the mi. drive) It totally looked like a blast and totally sucks that i missed it. I don't want to miss the next one.

I'm 31 and went to the Michigan Mazda Drive less than a week after I bought my Madza3. My first Mazda and my first new car ever. Had a bout 300 miles on it and I was out "breaking it in". (sssh)
I had only been on the board for a day or two and didn't know anybody at the meet. Didn't stop me from enjoying myself, though.

Don't sweat the age.
Don't sweat the mods (or lack thereof).
Don't sweat the company.

If you ever feel uncomfotable, it's not like you're anchored there. Since this is a car club (more or less), then we have to assume you have a car and, therefore, can leave whenever you want!

You probably won't want to, though. (thumb)

Thanks for the replys guys, Im seriously thinking about going if work permits, couple of my friends might go. Friend is supposed to buy a Hyundai Tibby Gt this week, and my other friend has a civic so i hope you guys wont mind if we do show...

Welcome to the board and our group. I am probably the oldest, 33 and I could give a crap about age. Your're only as old as you think, IMHO. We all had a great time at the Drive and there was a huge variety of people there.

The BBQ should be a blast and there will be a ton of different cars and people there too!!!

Also don't forget the only way to meet "new" people is to meet "new" people. (headbang)

Im 29, I really want to get up there to meet you guys one of these days. DaveB has made the treck over here from Ohio, I feel its time for me to do so also. Ill see what my vacation days look like. I think its like 13 hrs to get there from here.
