Hi,
I am about to get used 2006 MazdaSpeed6 GT with navigation, 14,000 miles for $23,000. Do you think it is a reasonable price?

Thank you.

its got nav, which adds a little to the value, but i agree with the queen. get that to like 21 and your set.

What is everybody's principal balance, as in terms of when the car's paid-off. How much will be paid towards the MS6??

For a used MS6, that price is high. I would shoot for 20-22K at most. Even though it has NAV options like that mean s*** when you are talking about a used vehicle. People were buying new ones for 22-26K back in March so don't use the MSRP as a guage for what kind of deal you may be getting. I paid 24K for my new 06 GT which had everything except NAV.

A few things you can use to negotiate:

Tires: At 15K the stock rubber should be just about gone. If you need new tires it will cost you upwards of $800-1000. If the car has new rubber then keep that in mind when shopping for other MS6s.

Soot on the exhaust: This is a common problem for most MS6s, the dealer may or may not know that. Point it out before you negotiate.

Difficult Clutch: Many people have had their clutch replaced due to a TSB report. If this car hasn't had the clutch replaced and it is difficult to use you should mention that. Most dealers will try to back out of the clutch replacement if the car has more than 8K on it.

Scratches, Dents, Dings, Scuffs: This is a collectors car and the seller knows that. Even the slightest ding or curbing of the wheels should drop the price considerably. Check the front of the car for rock chips very carefully.

In March I bought a new GT w/o nav for $25.4K after tax, title, & license. Did you bother to look at Edmunds or Kelly Blue Book for information?

(scratch)

What will your total payments be when your done paying for the car. you know when you buy a house for 120,000 but in 30years you will pay about triple the amount of that when its paid off.
Depends upon your down payment....payment term...apr rate.
Lot's of factors here junior...
ding....ding...ding....ding. Here's JOHNNY, WE HAVE A WINNER!!

What did i just ask

but thats not the principle payment. principle is the amount that is being paid towards the loan amount. then theres interest built into that, and principle plus interest is your payment. so, your original statement is the purchase price minus downpayment/trade-in. thats not going to change over the life of the loan.

If you got a Mazdaspeed 6 for 25k out the door. That's the principal balance that need's to be paid off. But your term is 60months at $499a month which equals to about almost $30,000 dollars.

My point is how many people on here actually have paid the principal balance before the term was up, i can almost guarantee nobody does. THEREFOR i say what "What is everybodys principal balance, as in terms of when the car's paid off at the end of your term. How much money will u overpay for the MS6. Does that clarify better for you.

Why ask a ? with a ?! Just Answer
