Mazdaspeed Exhaust sound

Hey I was wondering does anyone have the mazdaspeed exhaust installed on thier 3? I'm not planning on ever going turbo on my 3 so I'm not too worried about how big the pipe is I just want to know if it sounds good.

I heard some people say that it sounds good and a little loud but it has a little droaning on the freeway. It was mostly positive, but then again it depends on what you are looking for.

Honestly the only reason I would get one is price and it doesn't look half bad.

The price is good, but don't base your opinion on that. As far as looks, the ARK is the best. I am going with the Racing Beat myself to be more on the safe side. I know the sound is what I am looking for.

Looks are as far as it will go. Ark has had problems with cracking welds, having to replace the mufflers, having to replace the resonators... The only thing that hasn't had a "recall" is the tip, i think. QC?

I've yet to see any other cat-back manufacturer that had to do that for its 3 customers cause of stuff breaking.

You can wait for SCI's http://sportcompactindustries.com exhaust when they come out, or F2's http://f2cars.com. Mazdaspeed is based on Magnaflow, so it will start droning eventually (having owned several, and having friends that do).

That is exactly why I decided to stay away from ARK. I have to say at least they are handling it in a professional way.

it does sound like it drones on when you are cruising at speed.

I am arguing with myself whether to buy one or not, how is it compared to the ARK or other ones for sound etc..?

If loudness/droning is a concern then I would NOT recommend the MS exhaust. It sounds awsome from outside but in the car it does tend to drone at normal hwy cruise speeds of 65mph...
I purchased the MS exhaust thinking thaqt it being a OEM upgrade it wouldnt be overly loud but unfortunately I was let down... If I had to do it over again I wouldnt purchase this exhaust....

Droning is not a concern to me, I mainly want it to sound nice idle, at take off, in and around the city, and at rev.

Can you hear it from a little bit away? As for the normal tone I mean do people outside of the car really know its there?

In that case, I think it might be the propper choice for me, can you tell me a little about the performance gains? I wish I could find more people making videos showing sound clips and drives with it etc...

My position right now is I am 17 just got the 2006 3S I have put 1000 miles on it and I am starting after market, though the folks are upset with the warranty etc.. and think it would be a wise decision to purchase this one.

So I planned on going to the dealership sometime next week and ordering it, and then getting it installed a few days later, my parents will pay install etc.. so I mean for the most part if feals like a reasonable thing to do.

Would you mind posting any pics or vids etc..?

it sounds awesome! I have it on my p5 and i get compliant at many places including a couple auto shops I go to.

Although, I will say that there almost 2 complete diff exhausts, I think it will be fine and I trust in Mazdaspeed parts so I will push forward!
