Hey All!!

I just installed my Mazdaspeed Exhaust....wow, that has the perfect tone!!

It's kinda nice in the RPM's below 4000K you here the Mazdaspeed exhaust and above 4000K the Injen Intake sound kicks in!!!

I can't remember who posted on here about using dishshop to get the rubber hangers off the stock muffler and braces, but it worked great!

I do have a question for someone who lives in a multi climate area like me in MN.

I took of the front plates and there are 2 holes there in the bumber. What did you use to fill them, and how do you color whatever you used to match the car? I have Silver.

BTW - Anyone here from MN?

Cheers,
Ryan

your color code is 22v...you can buy spray cans online to color match.

hows the mazdaspeed exhaust sound? also, its only the exhaust tip right??

Get ahold of two nylon bolts, Hobby shops should carry them...they're usually white or clear-ish, or black. Cut them off a bit, and thread them into the holes. They're totally paintable if you can't find a pair that match your car. I have white ones in the front of my Protege...they look really nice.

Thanks, I will look for the bolts.

It's not just the tip, it is a muffler that is about a third of the size of the stock one and then has a larger tip. It looks awesome!

It took about 30 minutes for me to take off the stock one and put on the new one.

The sound is a lower rumble sound...in other words...it doesn't sound like a bunch of bee's in a can, or a crotchrocket!

Cheers,
Ryan

if i only get the exhaust but not the intake, is it going to do me anything beside making loud sounds ?

3-5 horses on a motor that only makes 130 isn't shabby. On my LS1, feeling 15-20 is a big deal....but its all in perspective. :D

where u buy the mazdaspeed exhaust??

You can order that through any mazda dealer. I'm not sure 'bout the US, but in Canada, I think they're what Mazda calls...the sport exhaust. It's an axle back, w/ a mazdaspeed tip. Sounds great and looks great. Anything above 4k rpm and it's quiet. Sound has a nice deep bass tone to it.

I got it at the dealership for $200. Well worth it in my opinion. I didn't notice much of a power difference, just me beating on the car more than I already do....just so it sounds cool!!

I know...what a fool I am!

I can't wait for the warrenty to be up in 45000 more miles! Then the real fun begins :).

Cheers,
Raw

cpcP5 thanks....i was just at the dealership and i seen their display. the muffler looked huge compared to the stock muffler and it's bigger and rounder then the mazdaspeed protege muffler. it looks real good on your car and i think you just made up my mind to order one for myself. peace.

the dealership is the best place to get it from because you can get it under warranty. it depends on how old your car is though. i just got back from the dealership a couple of hours ago and they said it'll be $220 before tax. so, it'll be about $245 total here in illinois.

the mazda speed exhaust is quite nice....
not very loud sometimes...

i paid about 435 CDN for it. installed too..
plus the reactive intake...

for some reason i dont notice a big difference....

exhaust sounds

how does it sound though? ist real "rice-y" or a deep mellow boar? i want something that sounds good, but won't wake the neighbors when i start it up, you know? i want something that looks good, but that won't turn heads just by the sound.....let me know....
