MazdaSpeed Emblems

Took a look at a MazdaSpeed Protege tonight and noticed the emblems differ from that of the P5. They are not chromed like the 5, but rather a "matte silver" type of finish.

I am interested in doing this to my emblems. Does anyone know what type of paint this is? Silver trim paint perhaps?

I took some sand paper and lightly sanded mine. I sanded enough to give them a brushed aluminum look then clear coated them.

I agree the satin emblems look much better than the chrome.. I'm thinking of doing this to my speed3...

Not really, I didn't take a picture of just the brushed emblem. You can kind of see it is some of my pictures.
