MazdaSpeed Cams

yeah...it definately was too much... but not as much as it seems. In some ways it was good cause i had a a very nice low-mid, which had been lost from other mods. However the top end never recovered, which i thought it would just through addtional mods. I was wrong. W/O cam gears or some adjustment though your low/mid end will suffer.
hey guys thanks alot, wow 8 degrees per tooth damn! well its about time i start saving up!

I have the cams installed as strait-up timing and everything works fine. I have not had a chance to work on them with a dyno but I am planning to here in the next couple of weeks.

I still need the cam gears. Anyone know what sort of a difference they make?

Of course, I'm all about the 'all go, no show' philosophy. Why do you ask?

its not really the show aspect i was worried about... just mass destruction from a tiny stray pebble. i love how some honda owners here do it.... and several have screwed motors up because of it. teh ghey.

Ya, that's another good reason. Me personally, I just find it prententious; "ooh, look at me, I can afford cam gears, although I have no clue what they do"

I'm so dedicated to 'sleeperism' that I'm going to have my custom header made with a factory looking heat shield. All that will go down the tube when I get IRTBs though.

i dont think its a bad idea to give a bit of flash to an all go type car, as long as you arent adding weight, and the added parts are fuctional. (i.e. front splitter)

I don't like any flash. I used to have 17s, but they took 1/2 second off my ET. Looked awesome but way too slow. So now I roll on my factory 14s, looking completely stock. No-one expects my car to be fast, so when I'm hitting high 13s it'll be funny to see the look on people's faces.
