not mine! i went to the track to practise my lunches on my cbr 600 bike! when i was staging i saw a white speed 6 all gutted with only one seat and plastic windows. the car was loud very loud. and of the car went to a 10.9 in the track. after his class went by, it was the bikes turn. after i went i tried to talk to him he was loding the car to a trailer. the guy was not friendly i told him to post here his results and pics. he said he will so hopefully the guy comes and post all the details. i was just amazed. keep in mind this was def not a daily driver.
mazdaspeed 6 did a 10.9 at the track!

For some reason people like that usually are A** holes! Kinda makes me a little emotional... racing and cars should bring people together and be something enthusiast have in common! Ok thats my rant! Be interesting to see his car thou! If you ever see him again take pics, just dont tell him! lol.

i dunno IMHO i think that run doesent count because its all gutted and has plastic windows, there are guys on here that have the potential to run low 11's eventually on a non gutted car.. i respect them more then the guy who tore his interior apart and trailers the car cuz its probably not street legal. but to each his own.

It's racing, not driving your mom to work. To have less "respect" for someone who guts an interior of a car to make it faster is just stupid.

Yeah, you never know a person's reason for doing what they do unless you talk to them about it. It's a shame he wasn't more friendly at the time, but maybe it was a bad day. I've seen super nice guys get pretty cranky by the end of a frustrating day at the track.
And I think it's great that someone chose a Speed6 to build a track only car out of, sure all of the comfort and luxury of it are going to waste, but that he liked the performance of it enough to stick with it and modify it for this purpose says a lot. I'd love some details on what he did (engine, drivetrain, all of it) and of course some pics!

maybe he trailers it cause it is a salvage car so he made a race only out of it. maybe said salvage was due to a flood so he gutted the interior as well, which would help to make said race only car a little lighter. maybe he was being a douche 'cause he was expecting to be in the 9's and only ran a 10.9
