well the thread got off topic about post 4 when the original poster got bashed for saying a 240 is a sports car or something along those lines then it got into a FWD vs RWD argument etc etc...
but honestly you just have to find a way to fab the stock MSP sliders and brackets to the MS3 seats and it should be OK.

its all good, i understand where you are coming from, if i see a topic i like i usually just read the last post and see where the status is at.
Okay, so not "every" time attack is not won by FF, but for every one time a FF car wins, i can show you 20 where they don't come close.
So I don't know what you're trying to say...
plus you found the one SS time attack where a manufacturer entered a car with a lot more backing and won because of it.

you said show me one, i showed you one, thats all, nothing more than that. trust me i know RWD is the best platform, if it wasn't F1 would use FWD.
but you can have ALL the suspension work in the world done, but if your chassis isn't tight you still have room for improvement, thats why roll cages are welded to the chassis, makes for a stiffer and more responsive chassis.
i think 240s are good platforms as well, huge after market and good weight distribution. good luck with your build and make sure you start a thread.
i'm sure if the MS3 , GTI , Cobalt SS were out back in the day when the definition of sports car was defined it would have been a little different but they wern't and the definition of a true sports car does include it being rear wheel drive. i think all the platforms have something to offer with AWD being my favorite . Wish i had that kinda money .....

On an unrelated (yet related) note, I spoke with my bodyshop friend today about the seats. He confirmed everything I/we already knew (new brackets, wicked expensive, blah blah blah) but wasn't able to get anything specific... made a bunch of calls and will have some news for me tomorrow. Wonder if Mazda would be interested in a group buy? haha (kidding)

Buy a Dodge Neon, not the POS SRT-4 version. Then you can put MS3 seats in it, convert it to RWD with a Bugatti Veyron engine, and slap some altezza's on that beast. Now that's what I call a "sports car." Yeaaa!
