Mazdaspeed 3 seats in a MSP?

Will I may be wrong but are there alot of 240s winning those competitions. I dont see them doing that alot. Yes it is rwd. But it is a older car. Cheaper car. Like alot of ricer kids with cheap older hondas who can only afford CHEAP cars. I am not knocking you at all. Though it may seem like it. But your arguement is a good one but not for your case. Yes you see all theese rwd cars winning competitons. This is correct. But every car is different. Just because you have a rwd car with lots of power means nothing. I dont even know hat you. But have gathers from all this BS that it is probably a wapped 240 with alot of modifactions. I see about 10 a day. Just not special. On the other hand I only see maybe 1 other MSP a day if I am lucky. You seem pretty ignorant to come on website for MAZDASPEED vehicles and talk down on them. And on top of that you have to get all ethug back at us. I am sorry but why would you do all that. I hope yopu didnt expect a different response. Anyways congrats on the new ride.

Actually I still have the MSP, and it is faster now than before.

And just to clarify, yes the 240sx was built to be a sports platform, any idiot knows that.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Silvia

What's that say?

Oh yeah, "sports coupe." ******* idiot.

Also, I'm not buying the 240sx.

We're starting a new project with a AE86 sedan. Going with a silvertop, and shooting for a small turbo'ed 200 rwhp. Should own everything in the turns.

If you idiots would read the thread you would realize that I praised the MSP at what it is good at. There are limits to FWD, where that limit is further off with a RWD platform. You guys are just fanboys for the MSP.

I'm a fanboy of speed, and performance dominance. Won't get that out of an MSP. If you guys can't see that oh well, your bad.(second)

P.S. How did I "Get all e-thug" ? If your referring to my cussing, and attitude that's just me.

I'd rather be hated for being myself, than loved for not.

your hate is for fwd period. the msp is a one of the best handling fwd cars out there.

I never said it wasn't. Read the thread.

RWD is a better platform for performance though.

Like I said, look at the standings at races across the world and see all the FWD cars winning against RWD cars.

"sports coupe" and "sports platform" do not equal sports car. Your argument is still invalid. Dont forget that same terminoligy is used by the industry to describe cars like Pontiac Grandam, and Hunduai Elantra GT. Also, although fun, AE86 is not a sports car either, in fact for a lot of the same reasones that the 240 isnt.

Also as for your SCCA coment, go on ahead and look into the winningest car in SCCA club circuit history, and you will find suprizingly enough its a Neon ACR.

To solve this.. Lets ask the insurance what they consider a sports car.. I know my insurance company doesnt consider my msp a sports car or I would be paying a high ass note.. I pay 160/month for full coverage..

Yeah, but look at what it's racing.

(ricer)

Keep thinking you know what's what homeboy.(2thumbs)

i pay 370 a month, and they consider the msp a spots car cause of the turbo

I pay $85/month full coverage, my Mustang was $150/month liabilty only.

You must have accidents or tickets, or both. Or you're young.

my insurance considered my 87 s-10 Blazer a sports vehicle because it was two door.

I have a 240, it sucks, granted it is stock, FWD or not my stock MSP rocked the s*** out of that 240 on any mountain, or any autox course as well.

I have driven prepared Miatas on course that would destroy nearly every 240 with none of that power either.

240SX is a true sports car? Wonders never cease.

Guess I should have kept my S2000 then, because then I could tell people I have an exotic supercar.

back to seats anyone? i understand that bickering back and forth is entertaining but its not helping any one out. im not sure about the ms3 seats but if your looking for comfort or leather go with a p5 seat. look at some junk yards and hopefully you can find some leather ones. i dont see any reason why they would'nt bolt right in place.

well I doubt it would be all that hard... just some swapping of the rails and maybe having to drill new holes on them to get them to bolt up.... the hardest part might be actually finding them at a price that is not outrageous.

I think our seats suck. no lateral support in the turns at all. Hell in my 94 celica I had way more support than in this car... anway I would love to find a set and get to work, but not sure where to look in cincinnati...

Well to start off, I will say that your not the best at reading comprehension. Are you? I have been around a bit longer than you now, so I guess we cant say that Im starting off my stay, now can we? Now, if you would look at my post, and read it carefuly (or read it at all), you wouldnt find anything about the dominance, or lack of dominance of one layout over another. In fact RWD-AWD-FWD, are all different in many ways. There isnt necessarilly a superiourity of one over the others. They are just different, and they work differently. Let us not get into that whole contreversial topic. Lets focus on my list of sports cars, notice that every car I listed was a light, nimble, purpose built machine (the Z cars to a lesser degree, I will admint that they were more Gran Tourer, than pure sports car.) Also notice, that every car on that list was RWD. So I dont understand why you think that my argument to you is that FWD somehow is better than RWD. I dont think any layout is the best, although I myself actualy prefer RWD, but thats just because I love MR2s.(I have owned and built three over the years) MY argument to you, Now pay attention here, This is the important part.), is that for all your talk about sports cars, a convertable 240sx is not a sports car. So please use ur brain muscle, and read and understand, before u get your e-feelings all hurt, and start crying about how everybody thinks you are a douchebag.

Also, I have no delusions of grandure about what my MSP is and isnt. It makes a perfectly fine, fun, and still responsible daily driver.

I agree! Dig up man...dig up

I'm gonna talk to my bodyshop friend tomorrow about this... Having those seats in my car would solve so many issues! Seriously, the seats in our car (though they look cool... especially if you have an orange msp) are about as bad as a seat can get when it comes to lateral support. grippy seats are not only more comfortable (usually) but also create a perception that your car handles better than it does! conversely, our buick regal seats actually make our car feel like it handles worse! (i've tested this theory out and it's legit.)

I'm not a big fan of the high quality aftermarket seats. granted, they're top notch (and wicked expensive) but, I just can't stand the giant 'BRIDE' logo (or whatever band it is). To me, it screams tuner... or even ricer... I like a more subtle approach.

the seats that don't have those unsightly logos are generally pos seats (at best). For my money, the MS3 seat is the best overall seat.... having them in my car would... oh man.... i better calm down here. haha

so yeah... let's figure out a way to do this already! hopefully my friend will have some good news.

Someone here on the boards wrecked a MS3, and although it looks like the airbags deployed, you could probably remove the airbags and use the seats.

I think he just posted about it yesterday. If I had any extra money I'd be all over it.

I know where a rear ended totaled MS3 is and he is trying to sell the interior as a whole, but he said he'd probably sell just the front seats if it came down to that. It was sad I opened the door and it smelled like it just drove off the lot. It had less than a 1000 miles on the clock too. So if anybody is interested, I know where you can get a front clip and a complete interior, but the seats are not cheap, he bought the salvage for a lot so he needs to get that back when selling, he's a really good seller though. Good guy.

there is absolutely no where around here... if you were lookin for some p5 seats i'd say check out besslers in hebron but i really doubt anyone is gonna have a wrecked ms3 or going to be selling seats out of one.. i haven't even seen one around yet, just seen 1 ms6 and that was yesterday
