Mazdaspeed 3 seats in a MSP?

I guess the only way to check would be to pull one out of a ms3 and test fit it

The 240 will be a much better platform, plus it's just as rare as an MSP because the one I'm looking at is a convertible...

He asked why I thought that was a sports car and I explained. I understand you guys love your MSP, I loved mine too, but for me performance is the goal, and for the money the MSP fails to deliver...

Funny. You claim that you're all about t3h performance!!!!1!one!!, but you're buying the convertible version of a car never known for having an overly stiff chassis to begin with.

I'm not knocking the car (the chassis isn't stiff, but it is extremely well-balanced), but it sure as hell isn't the 911 Ferrari-ghini GT-R you're making it out to be...

And my rear-seat passengers won't be punching my head for snapping their legs and cramming them into a space that was meant for creatures no larger than a mouse.

Do I dislike FWD? Hell yeah. But I got 0% financing on my MSP, so it was a financial no-brainer at the time. I would gladly have forked over more money for an IS300 if they were offering 0%, but alas, it was not meant to be.

I'll tell ya what, though - if anything happens to my MSP I'll be picking out a used IS300 5-speed.

Every suspension component is completely done on the 240.

Megan coilovers, various Nismo bits (ie control arms, strut brace), I forget what sway bars, but anyways, it handles a hell of a lot better than the MSP. That's not the point though.

There is not much more room for improvement for the MSP, and if you do spend the money on coilovers, and bracing you still gain very little, due to the inherent disadvantage of FWD.

I still haven't decided on the 240 yet though, I may go more expensive and buy a BMW M coupe I'm looking at. (bowdown)

Oh, and I'm not worried about passengers, I already have two other brand new vehicles.

That is the exact reason I'm getting rid of the MSP. No need for a DD anymore, and the MSP isn't a good platform to start with for a strictly perfromance vehicle.

/dickface. that was completely un-provoked.
oh yea...and you want real horsepower, but you're still buying a goddamn import. cool life. V8 -- there's some vehicle dynamics for ya. throw that in your 240 and you'll be bitchin' fast. they fit.

so on the other hand...think the seats will swap?

How am I a dickface, cock sucker?:mad:

He asked me why I thought the 240 was a performance vehicle and why the MSP isn't. So FU.

You know how the saying goes about opinions being like 455holes... Good luck with whatever you choose, though. Post pics when you get it.

Tis true, and I will post pics.

I never intended to hurt anyone's feelings about the MSP, and never did I say it isn't good, but where and how I drive the MSP, it just doesn't cut it.

I'll bet not many of the members here have actually ridden in a highly tuned RWD car to compare to, so they have no idea what they're talking about.

In the tight stuff, the MSP rocks, but when you get to sweeping higher speed turns it starts to suck ass.

FWD FTL... :(

Ahhh, well then. Have fun with it!

and for all the knox joe hater i gotta say... different strokes for different folks people...if he wants a rwd 240 that is his perogative (sp?). I say go for it. I am for anyone who makes anything fast.

Why a 240? Not trying to bash, but there are many other options, newer, and more reliable. IMO I'd hit up an IS300 and boost that b****. byebye 240!

240's are not rare here. I see 3-4 a day. Not to mention a mean ass dark green one on parkside.

oh i know what im talking about, ive ridden in just about everything. you need to quit knocking the msp tho. your hate is for fwd period. the msp is a one of the best handling fwd cars out there.

240 sx convertable does not equal sports car, especialy the convertable. Your awful. Heres a study guide for you.

S-2000=sport car
Miata=sports car
Elise=sports car
Corvette=sports car
MR2=sports car
Any Z car=sports car
240 sx=car intended for female Japanese secretaries, that just happened to come upon a popular resurgance throughout the late nineties, up untill today. This car was not intended as a true sports car, and never will be.

Im not even going to start on your clearly illistrated ignorance towards FWD, RWD ect. You sir have a lot to learn.

anndddd baacckkk ttooo the topic. lol. uhh..it would be ncie to see..you'd need custom brackets and such to get them to sit right and stay correctly and safely of course. but i dont see why not. that would be sweet thugh

Wow, you're an uneducated idiot.

FWD is just as good as RWD, huh?

Tool.

Tell me why FWD is better...

yeah, that's what I thought, tool...

You obviously have no experience at driving cars that are at a higher level than the MSP, and your post proves it. Ask any real racer their thoughts on the discussion, they'll tell you, you don't know what the **** you're talking about.

In fact look at every ******* time attack in the world, and show me one where FWD came out on top...

wait you can't, because there aren't any.

Why?

and why make yourself look so bad by posting this?

Bad start to your stay here...

lol

Let's check the SCCA website and see how many FWD cars are winning autocross by raw times, oh wait, none...

how many more examples do you want me to show you that show RWD is inherently better than FWD at everything?

care to concede?

God, the internet is full of idiots.

it brings me back to a quote;

"It is impossible to defeat an ignorant man in argument."

Amen.

Well to start off, I will say that your not the best at reading comprehension. Are you? I have been around a bit longer than you now, so I guess we cant say that Im starting off my stay, now can we? Now, if you would look at my post, and read it carefuly (or read it at all), you wouldnt find anything about the dominance, or lack of dominance of one layout over another. In fact RWD-AWD-FWD, are all different in many ways. There isnt necessarilly a superiourity of one over the others. They are just different, and they work differently. Let us not get into that whole contreversial topic. Lets focus on my list of sports cars, notice that every car I listed was a light, nimble, purpose built machine (the Z cars to a lesser degree, I will admint that they were more Gran Tourer, than pure sports car.) Also notice, that every car on that list was RWD. So I dont understand why you think that my argument to you is that FWD somehow is better than RWD. I dont think any layout is the best, although I myself actualy prefer RWD, but thats just because I love MR2s.(I have owned and built three over the years) MY argument to you, Now pay attention here, This is the important part.), is that for all your talk about sports cars, a convertable 240sx is not a sports car. So please use ur brain muscle, and read and understand, before u get your e-feelings all hurt, and start crying about how everybody thinks you are a douchebag.

Also, I have no delusions of grandure about what my MSP is and isnt. It makes a perfectly fine, fun, and still responsible daily driver.
