Mazdaspeed 3 on best motoring Vids?

whatever.....bottom line is all the cars had competent drivers and the speed3 still came in 3rd, and it was only against the reg imprezas. throw in an sti or evo and see ya later. have fun gettin blown away by anything and everything in your 07

Hmm bottom line, the speed 3 started in 5th position and had to work it's way through traffic. Anyone with knowledge on the subject knows that slows you down, quite simple really.

As for tossing in an evo or sti, on a road course I think you're right, all other things being equal the sti or evo would win but not by as much as you seem to think.

Now, on a straighway..I've pulled away from 2 Sti's stock for stock to date..so get your facts straight there too. Quarter mile run sure, awd launch wins the day (unless the driver sucks) but from a roll a speed 3 is more than a match for an sti or evo, it becomes a drivers race rather quickly.

yeah an evo /sti should be faster around the track but not that much faster. the MS3 actually handles well.

Actually, not really. Not to be a bench racer or anything but Car & Driver's annual Lightning Lap says otherwise. At the same road course but on different days, an '07 MS3 lapped a full 3 SECONDS faster than an '08 STi. 3 seconds is an eternity on a road course and is even more than the 2 second gap the MS3 pulled on all the other cars on the Best Motoring video.

holy crap your wrong! have you ever watched a video of these 2 cars racing stock? I have done this race with a member on this site and I won by car lengthS. Drivers race my ass. IM not a 27 year old know it all, I just know a forty somethin dumbass when I see one(butt)

back on topic...heres a great comparo race between the speed3 and r32. Its extremely close with the speed3 just edging out the r32 by 4 tenths in lap time
