Mazda mp3 player option?

Did anybody get this option with thier Mazda6.

In the options, it says 6 Disc changer or mp3 player. What exactly is this mp3 player? Hard drive based, or a CD player that can read mp3-CD's.

I'm guessing a CD-mp3 player & not a Hard Drive unit.
I could only wish for a OEM hard drive mp3 player.

I have read that it is plug-in unit that actually just decodes the MP3 info off of the CD. So we will basically have an Indash 6-Disc MP3/CD Player.

Also, the main display will display full ID3 text info. I am going to be ordering it soon, I will let you know all the details once I get it in.

Not what it should be

The MP3 option is actually a replacement for the in-dash 6 changer. I asked at the dealership and they said the mp3 player requires an additional cover panel for the dash. I'd assume it's necessary because the MP3 player doesn't need the buttons on the side of the CD slot. What I'd like is to know whether or not there are any inputs within the dash or a harness connection to make adding your own MP3 option possible.

I verified that with my dealer as well. It is a replacement unit. They had no clue as to how it would function with the Bose Unit. I have looked and found no external amp, so I am assuming all speakers are individually powered. I am trying to verify all the details and will let you know more once I find out.

I bought the mp3 player and it is an in-dash mp3 players that reads from cd's and it takes the place of the in-dash 6 cd player, the two are seperate and are not combined together.
