This might be old news to some of you and maybe its been posted before. If so, apologies on repeating old news.
But I was just communicating with a Mazda dealer here in Calgary, asking if the Mazda3 hatch would possibly contain AWD.
He said flatly no, but he did say with A LOT of certainty that when the wagon comes to Canada, an AWD version will included by the end of 2004.
This was big news to me. I have not heard any confirmation before about the AWD "Estate" wagon available in Eruope coming to to NA before.
Now, this dealer could have BS information, as I'm not sure Mazda headquarters lets these guys know what's really going on, but he didn't sound like he was speculating about the wagon.
Anyway, the Mazda6 wagon is probably a bit too big and bloaty an AWD system for my tastes, but it could be a good competitor for the Sub Outback/Legacy brand, as in just a practical but with Mazda's sexy styling as an advantage.
