Mazda5 Wheel Fitment & Photo Guide

Here's my Mazda5, same wheels I had, but different suspension setup and I changed out the front wheel spacers.

The wheels themselves are 19x8.5, offset +50, and they won't fit without spacers in the front.
Previously had a 15mm spacer in the front and back and gave me an effective 35+ offset for the fronts, but they poked out too much for what I'm trying to do with the car.

I changed them out with a 5mm spacer, and now they just barely 2mm away from the front fender. The rears remained with the 15mm spacer. The rears will not tuck in with 19x8.5 and stock camber arms, and require excessive pulling or adjustable camber arms. I just went the camber arm route, and it only took 15 minutes to install them (car was on jack stands, wheels off). I think the hardest part was removing the stock ones.

So the current set up is:
Fronts 19x8.5, +45
Rears 19x8.5, +35

Here's my next set of wheels sizes I am contemplating:
Front: 20x8.5, 44-45+ or 20x8, 34-35+
Rears: 20x8.5, 35+

Still deciding on the front. May upgrade my camber plates to adjustable ones. If I get adjustable camber plates for the front, I will probably run with 20x8.5,+44 offset.

Wow Marc- that's really aggressive fitment there. Thanks for the offset details! What brand/model/size of tire are you running on those 19s? Curious so I can look up their spec dimensions- I'm pushing clearance limits on my setup too with the 235s.

Im using 225/35/19's. They fit well, I don't rub, even as low as I drive it.

Sweet. What brand/model of tire? That makes a huge difference too. My 255/40-17 Hankook RS-3s are about as wide as most 265 tires.

They fill the wheel well nicely and the offset is complimentary as well. They are very heavy compared to the OEM wheels. The Mazda5 tires need to be replaced so I swapped the snow tire/wheels onto the mazda5 and figured I would throw the mazda5 wheels on the MX5 to sit in the garage all winter to avoid flat spotting my good Miata tires.

Ah, that's one way to save your tires. ;) So you basically did the opposite of what I did- put MZ5 wheels onto an MX5. I'm running the MX5 wheels on my MZ5- saves 6 pounds per corner on just the wheel.

I was thinking I had seen a Mazda5 with MX5 wheels. Couldn't find the pics though.

Can a 2012 Mazda 5 fit 17x9 +45 wheels?
Can a 06-12 fit 17x9 +45?

I really like the rpf1 17x9

I'm going to say no on the 06-10 without a ton of fender rolling/pulling/camber and spacers to clear the struts up front... but you could probably do it if you wanted it bad enough. :D

Any of you Fitment guys try to put a 18 x 9 +35 on a 5 before...? I know they will clear in the back but was wondering if there was a issue in the front, looks like a 8.5 wheel is the widest i'm seeing on the fronts.

Well yesterday I tried a 18x9 +36 in the rear for a test fit. I can put it up front tonight. What spec are you looking for break spacing, Fender spacing, strut spacing? Also I have a 2013 not sure if theres a big difference in the fender well.

Looking for the fender/strut spacing, and to see if it clears turning both directions. Any pics of the test fit...?
