Mazda3 2005 / Timing chain or belt?

I just bought 2005 Mazda3 1.6L, it's at 87,000 miles and there are no documents on timing belt being changed and according to the seller it has timing chain.

However my research has shown that the 2.0L and the 2.3L have chain but the 1.6L has belt, can anyone give me a feedback?
