Here are some of the cars listed above, awesome rides (except the X6 M, not my cup of tea, too tall and bulky).

While talking to Jason and Richard they mentioned that they were not familiar at all with the track in NJ, and despite of coming too quick on the curve I took the crappy videos from, the times were extremely good (2thumbs)

I do not support the call to Mazda for a factory version. Mazda, along with most other manufactuers, has continuously developed their products out of affordability.

Around here (Canada), 3's and 5's start around 20 000 dollars,

Do not take away my 5 by dragging it beyond my financial reach.

Have no fear, your middle statement says it all. The 3 and the 5 are around the same entry price, the speed 3 is above that. Your 5 will always be affordable and the people who can afford more will have Speed 5's. Thats the fun part of options :) I'd be more worried about what the mainstream would do to the 5. The fact that they hardly advertise or promote and it still sells means there is a die hard core market for it, once it caught on, it would likely evolve into something way different than the original.

On another note, did you guys clock the MPG at all on the speed5? I'm curious how it did compared to the donor car.

More trurer words never spoken.

Racing mpg, or to and from the tracks?

Kind of a bummer that a Civic & A GTI placed above you...a Mazdaspeed5 outclasses both those cars! Congrats on shutting down your share of exotica, though! This should make it into the Zoom Zoom online mag I get from Mazda of North America!

Jason said that they were clocking around 25MPG highway during the trip (note they drove allover the place)
