for real... its not nearly as loud as some i've heard, but it just gives the car a little attitude. A girl-friend of mine sat in my car when I first got it, and she loved it, up until she turned on the car. Revved the engine and said "Oh honey, that exhaust has GOT to go." I was thinking "God she looks sexy in that car" so I just nodded.
ok, I noticed my muffler is cracked also. So I take it to the dealer thinking its not gonna be a big hassle, and the guy looks at it and starts chuckling(******* laughing at me(rant)) and says someone backed the muffler up into something cuz you can see where its dented....Im like its not ******* dented, its disfigured because the edge of the tip is pulling away where it is cracked. SO he continutes to tell me mazda wont warranty it, but he can get me a price on it. Im like "dont ******* bulls*** me, its not damaged, its defective"
So im gonna go to another dealer, but before I do can anyone who has had their muffler replaced give me the number of their dealer and any pertinent information. I want to have records of this being any actual, verifiable problem, and not just some random kid who backed into a curb and wants a new muffler. Thanks in advance.

this is probably off-topic but ill add that mazda replaced my clutch and transmission and flywheel not too long ago! no hassles either!
I guess it really depends on the dealer. Mine is pretty good, I asked them to check my muffler last time I brought it in (I visually could not see any cracks) and they immediatly ordered a new one! Also, I asked to change my wiper blades and they put new wipers (the whole thing) for free
