Hi all,

I have been trying to replace my passenger side window regulator for about half a day now but I don't seem to be able to remove it... Please help!

I have managed to remove the door panel and the 5 nuts (3 for the motor and 2 for the regulator), the motor pops out no problem but the regulator top copper bolt appears to be stuck on the door body.

I have tried to force it out but no luck... Are there some clips to undo between the regulator and the window holder?

I can see 2x 10 nuts that keep the window attached to its holder... should i remove these? they are very difficult to get to...

Any help is really appreciated.

Leo

Hi and welcome to our little community. The how-to section is reserved for how-tos with step by step guides and is not the proper place to ask for advice -that is what the other sections are for. If you do complete the job, it would be great if you come back here and post the how-to!! Moving to a more appropriate section.

I have not had to need to disassemble the Mz5's door but have gutted and swapped 3 doors before. Manual or power window is pretty much the same. Firstly, you would need to remove the glass. It is very easy to do. You will have to remove the weather layer and move the window up/down a tad to see access holes on the inner door skin to remove the window. Once the glass is out, next thing is to unclip the necessary wire harnesses. Then unbolt everything you see (except the obvious, such door lock) and it should all come out. You want to work with nuts and bolts and not screws.
