Just buy springs for now. You've got a good 50k miles before they blow your stock struts. Then upgrade to Koni Yellows.

I don't know I had the rear wheels off and the rear shocks I believe are stock or at least stock replacements. Dip wad (the previous owner) might have had them replaced at the dealer, with 110k on the clock I doubt they are original. The front, not sure I haven't had the front wheels off yet. The ride is firm, no bounce so I can only assume they are ok.

Just fyi, I removed my original struts @ around 100k miles & they were still good to go. Another member is currently using them, actually. lol But they were used with an aggressive race spring for a long time. Not sure exactly how long, as they were installed by the previous owner. But I'm pretty sure they were installed for at least 40k miles if not more. And those struts had no bounce whatsoever. The only reason I changed them out was because I came across a steal on a used set of 5-way adjustable Tokico struts.

Yup, follow his build, guys! There's something to be said about being willing to stick out your neck and take the path less beaten, about researching and fabricating instead of just bolting parts on. So deserving indeed!

^I agree and do as much custom work as I can to my own car. Sadly, for many of us we lack the skills, money, time, etc. to do a complete build like that. However like I said before, I know what it takes to do all that work and love it!
