So you have the same issue as everyone else huh? There is a ton of info out there on it, some cheap methods and some more expensive methods that do away with it permanantly. I just live with mine, too lazy and cheap to fix a "clunk" when I can spend money on other things to make it go faster. I have that on my mile long to do list, like I'm sure other people have.

I've had the car for 3 years and was also involved in the big 156E bushing fiasco with newf....I know it all to well. My good buddy is evolv and he has developed a new bracket to fix the clunk...it'll be on my car in a few weeks. I think they're almost ready for production.(first)

Gezz....looks like most MP3 owners are going toward for the MSP, MSP 3 or 6 or even the Subaru....

so the mp3 forum moderator needs to drive a MP3 currently?

Yeah, I had to get rid of it. I've had it since it was new but now with the kid on the way, I had to get something bigger. Of course I had to stay with Mazda, so I went with the speed 6. I will miss the ol MP3, but someone is getting a hell of a car......with boost at that!!!

Yes, part of the criteria is that you curently own an MP3 and have good knowledge on it. I'll still be around to help when I can.
