So today my wife goes to pull the car out so that she can get to PT (army) and when she does it wont go into gear.. my car was purchased in nov of 06 and has about 16K miles (single car and we travel alot cuz of the army) and basically i called mazda and they said "after 12k miles we do not cover brakes clutches or any clutch components" and also told me getting a new one and installed would be $1200... so when he said that the first thing that came to my mind was (321fu) but then i went in to the service center and they told me they had 6 other MS6's in for the same problem... so after speaking to the regional service rep (whch just so happend to be in my town today) im gettin my s*** fixed for free... theres probably going to be a recall because with the late 06 models and the early 07 models they been havin lots of problems!

so i would like to say (butthump) to mazda

It's great that you're getting a new clutch, but Mazda has issued a TSB about this (see attached). Therefore, you didn't exactly shaft them.

well in my case they didnt want to do it at all, they were trying to screw me over anyway.. they were juss finding excuses not to do it but when i spoke to the manager.. they oh so suddenly found something in the system lol

Man their warranty is really crappy. after 12k they won't cover you. Thanks God I'm canning my MS6. I'm tired of all the problems with it and mazda's bad attitude when dealing with customers.

Actually, a lot of companies won't warranty wear items such as clutches AT ALL.

What's different here is that Mazda is acknowledging that there is an inherent problem with their OEM clutch system. Thus, the TSB.

sorry about your bad experiences.

Show me another manufaturer that will clover clutch and brake pads for more than 12k.
Also its osunds to me like your bad expeirences are from the dealers end not mazda.

yea the dealership here in this military town is bad... they prefer to get u in and out instead of helping you.. now the dealer in jersey they helped me alot! they didnt do the clutch right and as i was driving to jersey i smelled clutch.. the dealership in jersey pulled up the report and they fixed everything.. also they told me my brakes were perfect.. but when i got to jersey i needed rotors and pads... so mazda replaced em because they said "those rednecks cant do s*** right!"

a few months ago i had a mazda 3, and the dealership here put engine oil in my transmission... my car was an automatic! they didnt want to own up to their mistake and basically said it was my fault lol.. i dont know
