Yep, the X is Southeast of the Great Pyramid. Since there are many pyramids in Egypt, there's only one that's very well known. The city name rhymes with pizza.

yea but the clue is misleading. it says airships once moored here, but they never did. it was the original intention though
 
I could be wrong but I was watch a program on Discovery Channel, and I think once or twice they actually did, attach to it. Thats why it was deemed unsafe because of the updraft.
 
i got my info from wikipedia, so i dunno. anyways the video led me to look in the right city, just not sure what i was looking for. airships was a big clue though, it was just logic after that
 
Honestly I only knew cause I havent turn off Discovery Wings/Travel/Health/and Military in the last year. I sometime watch Speed and TLC to...lol.
 
I think it was also in the movie "sky captain and the world of tomorrow" as well. I remember seeing it from a movie and I went right to it!
 
Man, that was too easy, I didn't even watch the video. I clicked on the hint and knew instantly!
