Mazda 6S vs STI

Mazda 6s
Use to have a mazda speed Protege AKA "SOLD IT" Now I have an 04 mazda 6s, white with all the options "Great road trip car" But for what I can sell my mazda for I have a friend going over sea's and willing to sell me his 04 STI for the same price "DIRT CHEAP". So even though I have the final choice what does everyone think, Mazda 6s for looks and comfort or STI for everything else.

Depends on how well he treated the car or if he raced it a lot. I know i wouldn't buy any of my friends cars, regardless if it's a Acura to a Mercedes.

The STi is a good nice car, yes easy to mod. But there's other variables to look at if your letting the 6S go for the STi. Now if your getting it to use as a second car, then I'd say go for it!

if speed is your ultimate goal then yea, STI all the way. however, if your goin for something that still moves pretty good, has comfort features and flys under the radar, then the 6s is your best bet.

are you lookin for a car to mod?

I'm still torn and have been pondering this for two days, I told him I'd have an answer by the end of the week. I really don't need a modded car but it would be nice and on the other hand I like the comfort of the 6s leather, heated seats, bose all the good stuff. also in the long run if i goto sell the car later on I know I won't lose on the STI.

s*** even if you got the STI, kept it for a bit, if hes selling it to you for cheap you could turn around and sell it in a few months to make profit...depending on how good of friends you two are lol

sti all day long there easy to mod and easy to tune

Wow... you have no idea what your talking about. Not eazy to mod... (You need to drop the engine to change the spark plugs) and Definatly NOT eazy to tune... you need to be a PRO to tune STIs.

I would still dig the STI tho.

He's a very close friend, so selling it with a few months would be outta the Question....

I assume he means its alot easier to make the car quicker or get more power than it is a v6 mazda due to its larger aftermarket support. Everyone makes parts for the STI, you have more limited options with any mazda 6.
