That's because the MPS is based on the Japanese/European 626 and not on the US 626. The non-US last gen 626s looked great.

This is very close to the ratio reserved for the STi and the Evo (10.3 and 11.1 IIRC). This car would have given them a run for their money methinks...LOL!

I wasn't even aware that there was a difference between the euro and US 626.. you learn something new every day.
 
one of the mazda's concepts what I liked most. Always thought upgrading a 626 in his exterior like this MPS 626... of course not even in Japan consider producing this car... really bad but thank god right now they produces MPS3 and MPS6 for everybody...
