Mazda 6 Clutch problem

2003 Mazda 6
Greetings from Massachusetts

My 2003 6 started making a clutch noise when grabbing before taking off at aprox. 11500 miles. The dealer determined that a clutch plate needed to be changed. They kept the car for a day to check the hydraulics. Upon picking it up he said the car checked out fine and that I must be riding the clutch. I told him that I have been driving standard tranmission Mazda's since 1986 with over 350,000 miles on 2 different cars and never once had a single clutch problem.
So anyway after a week or so I noticed when it gets cold and I go out to start the car, I'll push in the clutch and after it starts I shift it into neutral and let the clutch out and the car will nudge forward a couple of inches. Sometimes if its really cold I'll hear a slight sqeel for a few seconds. Once the car has warmed up this doesnt happen.
I brought it back to the dealer around 13000 and the tech wrote that the condition was noted and that a 2004 on the lot did the same thing " (Fluid thickness gear oil used instead of ATF fluid) Fluid gets thick as temp goes down and as engine is running temp increases Normal Condition ".....?
I'm sure they dont want to take my clutch appart again. Now that Mazda is in bed with Ford if this is any indication of the future I'll have to look elsewhere for my transportation

Can anyone help me with this problem

i don't know what the problem could be, but most proteges (5's, speeds, mp3s) i believe have clutch chatter when they are cold... so maybe mazda clutchs just arn't great in the cold, it goes away pretty quick and isn't that big a deal, your car doesn't stay cold long. anyways, just a thought
