Mazda 3 ticking engine sound

hey guys, yesterday i went to do an oil change with my mechanic and he stated that my valve lifter died There is a ticking sound coming from the engine.Luckily i still have extended warranty, i have exactly 90k miles. i saw one thread on one of the forums and it said that the whole intake manifold has to be replaced along with the valve lifter. Has anyone has that problem
I will probably take it to the dealer today...

nevermind guys, i just heard back from the dealer, they said the manifold intake is leaking so they will replace it with the new one (thank god i have extnded warranty) that's like another 600 bucks if not more...

How much does extended warranty cost?

ahh well, it was complicated with me. Basically i paid 1150 at the MAzda Dealer and i was suposed to get coverage up to 75k and 100$ deductible but then one of the guys at the dealership did something wrong with my warranty and i got moved up to coverage up to 100k with 50 $ deductible
The guy got fired by the way . that was one of the reasons why he got fired.
ey but im not complaining.
P.s. are those stock fog lights, or aftermarket, cause mine are aftermarket and look exactly the same as yours. My car is 04 2.0 i with 90,000 miles on it..

I am embarassed to say but the foglights are the ones from eBay. The ones that run about $60. They are ok, but the lens is plastic and mine melted because I dented it and that resulted in bulb to lens contact, now its a dirrty brown and looks like a coolant tank!

hhaa,i have the same ones from ebay. But so far they are ok... (knock on wood). i have a question, for those fogs, did u install all the wiring and the button that goes to the dashboard.???
