MAZDA 3 LCD Head unit problems..

hi all..
i bought a mazda 3 Headunit one of those 7" LCD models..
now in a 05 model apparently the AMP for the Steering wheel controls in different to the one in later models.
and hence the unit does not work properly...

anyone got any ideas ?

Probably want to be a little more specific than "one of those 7" LCD" if you want help.
