Mazda 2 Radio Mod - 7" Android Tablet Fitting...

shortfuse12....

I've not delved into this too much but, tried the Android SDK (software development kit) so you could probably write an app to interface from some I/O on the USB to the background controls of the audio player your using, if you taking a tablet apart then you could use open collector opto's or just transistors to work the buttons as if you were pressing them ? its all down to how much you want to play.... the other option is get the details of the button interface & write a comms driver in the SDK to use a serial port or can port to detect the codes from the steering wheel interface ?

Hope this helps....

Oh yeah and the Wii remote will work as well. :)
I did this in my truck nothing like playing snes,Sega,PlayStation or game boy in lunch break.

I'm on XDA developers site quite a bit rooting and moding lots of stuff you can do to Android.

Its great being able to monitor all the stuff in the car while your driving & having "tell tails"....

But they give the game away when the wife (juliec71) gets in the car & see's where there up to....
mmmmm... how many gallons an hour, what MAF reading (lol2)
