May be BYE BYE For p5

Go and get an RX-8... less room than the P5, but who cares?

Not sure that is going to work..."I want to find something with more room and that is less of a sporty look." ;)

Sorry, only noticed the price range...

In that case, the Mazda MPV definately fits the bill, with LOTS of room and NO sporty look what-so-ever.

Sweet, the NSX is under $30,000!

Just don't think that I could talk the wife into that one. Had a hard enough time with the Integra.

hmmm no one mentioned the 6s. fully loaded for under 30k or nicely equiped, ie no leather or sport package for 22 or so. Lots of bang for the buck.

6s is nice, that is for sure. A lot bigger. But, when I drove them, they had this strange little hesitation when flooring it. Maybe a lightened flywheel would help.

I was going to trade in my P5 also, but the deal never fell through. They were only giving me $8000 for my P5  , I do however have 44000 miles. I was getting a WRX for $22000 at BOb Baker Subaru in El Cajon.

I think selling it privately would probably be better. Maybe someone who is looking for a project car. I love my P5, but the funds are getting short for modding.:D

If you are looking for performance and looks - do not overlook the Altima... I guess V6 if you are into HPs. That car is a torque monster. Spanks every other V6 in it's category (read Camry and Accord). G35 is very nice, has the same engine as the Altima, but it also costs more... All those cars have the same engine... the Z, G35 coupe, Maxima, V6 Altima... so there is definitely potential for tweaking. Quite a few aftermarket parts out already for the Altima too.

I drive an 02 Altima and my wife drives a P5, that's how I am on the board :)

Altimas can be had for little over 20K. Can't say they don't look good. There is plenty of space in the car, I love mine.

The new Maxima... ugh, I duno, I am not feeling it... I think they screwed up making Altima so big and good looking, Maximas are not exactly flying off the shelves :)

I drove it for one week when I brought my dad's es300 in for warranty service. Along with the outstanding handling and power, you will find that the gas efficiency is not existing.

I've got a perfect vehicle for you...

Subaru Forester XT ... for about $26K you can have 0 to 60 in 5.3 seconds... the car is faster than the WRX and roomier than the P5...

What I meant by "sporty" was the street-racer looking type of car. Basically that's what I think the p5 looks like. NOthing wrong with that, I just am looking for something else right now. Maybe an suv but I couldn't justify using that much gas.

Might get flamed for this but: Neon SRT-4....fastest production car under $20,000 in the world.
