Max HP?

What do you guys think is the maximum HP one could squeeze out of an MS3 with the stock fuel system, motor, and turbo? Just bolt ons and tuning. Also without meth. I'm going to shoot for 300whp with my build, then maybe add some meth. We'll see what happens.

I'm sure there are others that know better than I and will probably chime in, but I don't think the stock fuel system will support 300hp.
Bigger injectors and a pump may be in order.

290-300 whp safely with compatible bolt-ons and SAFE tune. Maybe 330 with aggressive, ragged and probably unsafe tune, IMHO.

Easily....

There is no need for larger injectors for this application (even if there were any) and the fuel pump is, yep, marginal. Some get lucky and some, like me, put a DP on the car and wham, 700 psi and need to do internals.

The stock turbo is really the biggest killer for trying to get big power. Its like trying to go as fast as you can on a bigwheel

but you cant just slap a bigger turbo on without doing essentially everything else to the engine

I think 300whp is a good max for the stock turbo and such.

Thanks for the info guys. I want 300whp but I also want CCWs and coilovers. We'll see what happens. There's always meth if I can squeeze the 300 out of it.

Other thing you can do is try to maximize your hp to weight ratio by lightening anything you can

A 300hp, 3100 lb car has the same power to weight ratio as a 250hp, 2600 lb car. Of course, youd be standing to lose a lot of features and ammenities to achieve that weight....but i dont know what exactly youre going for

it would be pretty sweet to get this car to drop 500 lbs (that would have to be not only removal, but replacement of stock parts with lighter components) and then get it up to 300hp. That would make it about 8.6 lb/hp

To put that in perspective, a new mustang gt with the 5.0 is about 9
