Really depends on your driving habits as well. If you are going 40 MPH and put it in 5th gear, you may be asking for it.

Some people have had problems at stock boost with the motor, others have been running 12 psi for a year now.

Hard to say what is exactly safe.

Welcome To The Board. I would recomend staying away from anything higher than 9 PSI even with a well thought out fuel delivery system and a FMIC. Don't be like the hundreds of people here and pop a motor to get serious about the internals... Have a look at the Photo Journal, the link is in my signature block.

Take the time to plan it out properly. Reserach, ask questions here, stupid or not.

WOW what are the odds? Well I guess on this board pretty good. I would have to safely running the stock boost and no mods is the "safest" way to go. Other than that you would be fighting the dealership a$$hole to cover it.
