Thought it would be useful to post any shop experiences you guys in Maryland have had (good and bad) so other members know where to go and where not to go.

PJ Auto Body in Bel Air

Just wanted to tell you guys how great this shop is. When I had my last two cars there for accident repair they always came back looking brand new, the paint was blended nicely and the repairs were always made with oem parts and never aftermarket. Repairs I had done:
My 98 Saturn SC1
-right rear quarter panel replaced and painted
-left rer quarter panel replace and painted
-right passenger door and front quarter panel replaced and painted
-hood replaced and painted

2002 Mazda Protege ES
-Rear bumper replaced and painted.
-left rear quarter panel replaced and painted
-pinstriping removed and redone

This guy does excellent work and he will not fix your car if he thinks it will be unsafe or not drive like before. When i hit a telephone pole head on with the saturn he told me to just allow it to be totalled because he could fix it but it would never drive right again

When i was hit head on in the mazda protege he told me the same thing. He really cares about how your car will look and will never do a half-assed job.

Forest Hill Automotive

I have taken all of my cars to these guys ever since I have been old enough to drive. They always do quality work and are always able to fix any problem I may have. They also have good prices (I think), they take good care of the MSP and the cars I had before it.

These guys are known for their work on Subaru's not Mazda's but overall the work they did for me ranks a B- in my book
Took my car there to have a hotpipe installed after having a 1" fitting welded on and a 1" fitting welded on the intake plus have them install my reflex diverter valve and to run a dedicated vac line to the reflex diverter valve (RDV). Get the car back and it stalls constantly, still gobbles when I let off throttle. open the hood, the RDV was installed backwards and the fitting was not welded on the hotpipe, the original fitting was still there with a piece of vacuum hose acting as a spacer because the vac hose for the rdv was larger and they didnt run the dedicated vac line. I take it back and ask why they didnt weld the larger fitting onto the hotpipe like i asked, why didnt they run a dedicate line like i asked, and that they put the valve on backwards. They tell me oops about the valve going on backwards, that they didnt weld the fitting on cause the hotpipe was ceramic coated and they didnt want to ruin the finish (but you didnt ask if i cared), and that the vac pressure from the manifold was enough to open the valve. I said I dont care if it ruins the finish, the only way it will work is if a larger fitting is welded on and if they run the dedicated vac line. They do what I ask and it works fine. They were a pain in the ass to do what I wanted because they are somewhat experts in their field but not with mazda's but the work they did, the quality, and the workmanship was great. So I would reccomend them but you have to be very clear in what you want and that you will accept nothing less.

I am gonna threadjack for a moment because my question is so small it doesn't deserve it's own thread. Does anyone know where I can locally buy t-bolt clamps? I can't find anyone around here that has them in stock.

Hm i went to the mazda/ VW dealer in Rockville, their shop sucks I had body work in my mz3, some lady had hit me on the pass. front fender and had it re painted, well the paint didnt quite match, when I took off the side moldings you could notice it really bad, I was thinking the paint was a bit mismatched but didnt notice it enough until i took it off, the one on the driver side is great (since it was never touched by them) i guess too late to ask for a re-do :*(
