Manual seat adjustment question

Rode in the passenger seat in my 2016 CX-5 GT for the first time and when trying to adjust the seat height , well I could'nt. Manual says Move lever up or down to adjust seat. I was able to raise seat but when I tried to lower seat, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong ??

I hear you. That's the goofiest adjustment handle I've ever seen. My wife complains about it too. If I understand the manual correctly you have to pump it to raise it.
To lower it either pull it all the way up while you're sitting on the seat. If that doesn't work try holding it all the way down while sitting on the seat.

Glad I'm never a passenger in the CX-5.

Tried all that. Me thinks mine is broken. I'll have dealer look at it at first service in March.
