Manual P5 Ecu And Ss Afc

ogsp5

225 whp @ 8psi
:
2002 p5 (MSP Powered)
I have searched but could not find any info on this combo. I know the P5 ecu has more timing but how will this combo be used. I am now running a re flashed MSP ecu along with a SS afc version 1 at about 5psi. If any member out there that is running this combo let me know how it is running. Thanks

I had a shop try it for me couldnt get it past 3psi without maxing out the MAF. Would run lean as all hell past that 16:1. Why are ou at 5psi isnt stock 6?

I have a JDM replacement engine. I will be checking the compression tomorrow. So that why the low psi. I might be going to a more simple set up. Get rid of the MSP ecu and SS afc. And go to P5 ecu with the FCD and 02 clamp. I am getting frustrated with this car, and might go to a different car.

People usually run the N/A ecu because it is easier to tune. The ecu has a more linear fuel and timing maps. All you have to do is set a desired psi and carefully add more fuel and with timing you just retard the timing depending on how much boost your running. The only difference is when using the N/A ecu the higher the boost the more timing you have to pull because the base timing map is more advanced.

cant wait to see what happens i still have my P5 Ecu. Yea i know what you mean about gettin tired of the car.

That is correct. But the SS afc I have is V 1 which means no timing control. I have heard that some members use the ECU from the ES. It's timing advance is less than the P5.

I might go to a 6i with a manual tran. I have a friend who is a vendor for Jen-vey throttle bodies and Emerald standalone ecu. So I might build an all motor with high compression pistons. There is a 6i running right now with 275 whp.
