Not to bring anyone down. But I would like to know just how much money it took to get this car were it is. I'm guessing around 15-20k! Hell the turbo kit runs what 6k, built block, head, trans. WOW!!!

all that + the cost of the car and it's still less than a Z06.

That's not the point. The Z06 is still the better car.
Im in no way trying to down play what these guys have done with this motor. It has to be cool as hell to run that fast in that a car like that. But I wouldnt be running my mouth that I beat a bunch of V8s in a car that Ive spent several thousand in. I can guarantee that if you put the same amount of money in the other cars the out come would be different. I ran low 12 high 11s in my 78 z28 and was all motor. And I only had about 5k in it.
That same Z06 with a better diver would have been a lot better. It looks like it broke something. But if you put slicks on it and beefed up the rear end hed slam that car.

I dont know, I know Ill get flamed for this but it just doesnt make any sense to brag about beating cars that are not in the same class. Now if they all came from the same back ground (company built) and still got whooped, well then bragging is in order.

But that's exactly it!!! A station wagon beat a corvette!
The station wagon gets better gas mileage, has more room for passengers and groceries, it's faster, it can handle the twisties like a gokart, and cost 1/3 the price.

A stock P5 cost a 1/3, this one is way over that. lol

Even with mods added to the P5 , It will NOT add up to the cost of a Z06 corvette stock . I will soon have a fully built motor capable of 11's and my total investment including car will not even add up 30k. How could you say that the Z06 is better?

easy,the Z06 will keep accelarating after the 1/4,and can out handle it in any condition,is a out of the box performer(no headaches)capable of a 1 MILE drag race.

I brought mine in for warrenty work(wheel bearing)and it is EXTENSIVLY modded.

Actually, I would love to have the new C05 corvette, for it's price it is a work of art. BUt I'd probably sell it to pocket the money.
