magic dust

I have question,does anyone have black dust on the plastic that covers intercooler??I think its from heat (rockon)

I think its just dirt. Youre pulling in a bunch of unfiltered air there, dirt's gotta go somewhere

I think it might be the rubber "seal" coming apart a little. it got worse when I put in my forge valve and boost gauge, which pushed a tiny bit of the plastic up a small amount. that's my guess. could be dirt.

but its feels like a realy small grinded plastic or rubber..no way its a dirt

it kinda smells sometimes ,maybe during the summer I will take off the plastic ecause now the surface is very smoth

ok so its rubber seal grinding ot the plastic should I take of the plastic cover form intercooler?? you can se its missing like half of an inch??anyone had this problem?? do you think it will gone when i instal motor mount??

If you look at the bottom of your hood you will see a piece of foamish type of material about 4in by 8in that is there as a rub guard. The magic dust is the foamish material wearing off. Just look up and you will see where it is worn.

I know did you have this problem two it rubs on the edges of intercooler cover i took this plastic of until i put motor mount

I have a stiffer motor mount and I still get it. it's not a big deal.
