MAF Relocate/ fmic and bov help!!!!

:
2003.5 Gunmetal MSP
Hello community I own an 03.5 Msp And recently was forced to buy an ebay kit from speed daddy on account of my sidemount cracking and the bypass tube ripping off the valve

My problem: no combo of hardpipes softpies bpv or bov will stop the surging i would have saved up and bought a direct bolt on had this not been an emergency situation

i have been referring to this site frequently but thought hey ill ask maybe im missing something ill return with pictures. Right now i have the stock pipes flipped all around to meet the 3inch ducts for the fmic

with the maf relocated and the stock bpv on. its surge city son, my other set up with the ebay bov is no better maybe my waste gate wont open or maybe i do not have the lines set up right

ive looked through every thread i could find on this subject and do not care much for the whoosh i just my car working right so i can get to work and make enough money for the correct parts

any and all attention and or helps is greatly appreciated

if youre getting "turkey" or surging, id probably suggest maybe upgrading your bpv to a forge bpv, could be that yours may be faulty. running a dual set up really is probably one of the best solutions to getting rid of the surging sound. what kind of BOV are you using? i know a few guys have used cheaper ebay knock-offs with no issues at all. i personally am using only my boostscience BPV. and have had no surging or issues at all.

relocating your MAF wont cure any surging but will def give you better throttle response. keep it more consistent since youll be getting a more accurate reading of air volume going into your engine.

if you can post pix of your current set up itll definitely help. even a video would be better

What some people have done is run two valves. Stock bpv and a second bov to get the sound they want or what not. Really a good quality bov is all you need. Try toget one that has spring adjustment though bi webt hks and the later models needed modifcation to open properly at stock boost. Though seemingly not in a two valve setup.

Search the tread "how to kill your turkey's" lots of ways to deal with it.
Very happy with my "cheap" cx racing setup. More intercoolers and pupe kits are pretty generic unless you spring for a turbolife or corksport.

Forget the dual valve setup that is a waste of time. It looks cluttered, is redundant and unnecessary. The stock BPV is too small and must be removed from the equation to prevent turkey. One proper aftermarket BOV is the way to go, you wont get any turkey or compressor surge.

Ill post the vids basically I'm running a crappy eBay bov. The big spring is too much the small one isn't enough. I have mad carbon build up the turbo spins but I don't even get turkey just a soft whistle that sounds internal. Some guy turned my boost up and I believe it blew my waste gate (loud explosion debris out the back) but I still held boost before I did the fmic even with the cracked intercooler now my car is slower the the other lx protege I have that just collects spiders
